LOVE THE WORLD AND JOIN THE DANCE!!!
Lift your spirits and raise your energy to the next level.
This month we celebrate levity of spirit as we transition into autumn, imagining ourselves blowing in the wind and celebrating elements of air and their wondrous ability to unite the mind and the body. Let us use inspiration (inhalation) and expiration (exhalation) to awaken our bodies and minds. Let us listen to the dance that is between ourselves and the earth, ourselves and others, and even within our own cells to find ecstatic joyous dance.
The air over the dance floor will fill with aerial dancers and acrobats spontaneously throughout the night to reflect this joy and our strength. (If you are interested in performing please contact dances.in.air@gmail.com with your ideas!) Todd Delaune will be performing acro-yoga jedi moves on the dance floor to inspire all as well!
Hit the dance floor and let go of gravity in our inspiring multi-media, multi-sensory environment. Participate with your own flavor of movement. Come with flow toys, poi, scarves, ribbons et al to bring our air to life! Bring a crystal or sacred item for our community altar, a beautifully created healing space and a temple of flow for Conscious Dance.
Pera would like to welcome back Dj SWIVEL spinning a masterful mix of the best global grooves the world has to offer. Then, Scott-o-matic will take us further into the night and ever-new heights with his rhythmic escapades into deep house music.
Wine and beer, water and juice will be provided — donations gratefully accepted.
Come early and stay late, as East Coast Ecstatic Dance is always a night to remember!
